Children's Ministry
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me." Children are precious in His sight, and ministering to them was His priority. God commands us to teach and train children in the way they should go. The time spent ministering to children impacts the rest of their lives.
This course takes us through practical ways to equip us to effectively minister and teach children His Word. It is beneficial whether you want to begin a children's ministry or oversee and improve an existing one.
Youth Ministry
Students will receive a vision for youth ministry in urban and rural environments. This course provides practical learning on organizing, leading, and developing youth ministry in a local church. We cover the "nuts-and-bolts" of everyday youth ministry, from administration to counseling teenagers.
What You Will Learn
Children's Ministry:
- The Biblical Basis and Mandate for children's ministry.
- Developmental needs and learning styles of children in different age groups.
- How to write a lesson plan to teach children.
Youth Ministry:
- Why youth ministry is important and ministry with a vision.
- Understanding youth culture and challenges.
- Igniting passion among youth.
- Organizing and administering a youth program.
Course Evaluation & Grading
Students will be given graded assessments during the Semester. Each of these assessments will be in reference to all content covered till that point in the course.
