John Paul, a graduate of the B.Th program, now serves as Pastor of APC Mangalore. Looking back, he recalls entering Bible College with many unanswered questions and a deep desire for spiritual maturity. The structured teaching at APC Bible College gave him clarity, guidance, and a strong foundation to build both his personal faith and ministry.
He reflects that his theological training helped him organize his life more effectively, understand people better, navigate family life, and grasp God’s heart for the local church. Courses such as Identity in Christ reassured him of his position in Christ, Prayer and Intercession challenged and strengthened his prayer life, and Keys for Supernatural Ministry cultivated a desire to see the supernatural works of God manifest in ministry. Additionally, classes like Interpreting Scripture clarified difficult passages and Church Ministry and Administration equipped him for practical leadership. Even complex subjects like End Times became clearer, transforming scattered thoughts into a structured understanding.
Like many pastors, John Paul faced the challenge of balancing family responsibilities with ministry. He credits the Marriage and Family course for helping him prioritize his family while faithfully serving his congregation. Principles learned in The Local Church, alongside guidance from teachers, have been instrumental in resolving sensitive church matters.
Reflecting on his journey, he encourages students to absorb as much as possible, observe attentively, ask challenging questions, and pursue prayer as the key to understanding and living out God’s Word. To those considering APC Bible College, he affirms that it is an incredible place to learn, experience, and grow in the Word of God through the power of the Holy Spirit—a life-changing investment in spiritual growth.
Tharun Kumar, a graduate of the B.Th program, today serves as a board member, speaker, and small group leader at The Bridge International Church in Paris. Alongside ministry, he works professionally as a Continuous Service Improvement Manager at H&M and has authored three books. His journey demonstrates the integration of ministry and marketplace influence, grounded in the strong foundation he received at APC Bible College.
During his time at APC, Tharun grew as a preacher, writer, and leader. He affirms that his theological training not only prepared him for church ministry but also for professional responsibilities in the field of data analytics. The disciplines of church administration equipped him for teamwork and leadership in ministry, while biblical studies shaped his decision-making as a professional, teaching him to remain rooted in values drawn from God’s Word.
He says it is difficult for him to single out one course that had a lasting impact, as many courses did. Old and New Testament Survey gave him a strong framework for understanding Scripture as a whole, while Eschatology addressed long-held questions about God’s future plan. Courses on Worship opened his eyes to the true depth of adoration and service to God, while practical sessions in ministry demonstrated how to reach children, youth, and adults with relevance and clarity. These subjects, combined with exposure to students from diverse cultures, enriched his understanding of the global Church.
One of the greatest challenges Tharun faced was relocating to Paris in the midst of the Covid pandemic. Having been deeply involved in ministry in India as a volunteer, service coordinator, and speaker, he suddenly found himself with limited opportunities to serve. Yet the testimonies of his teachers inspired him to remain faithful to what was in his hand. Stories of APC’s early beginnings in small gatherings, and of leaders persevering even when ministry seemed fruitless, encouraged him to keep moving forward. Applying these lessons, Tharun began leading small groups on Zoom, facilitating online Bible quizzes, and God multiplied the impact. Even the rigorous habit of waking at 4 AM for classes instilled perseverance that carried him through that season.
Looking back, Tharun advises students to come both prepared and open—ready to study diligently while expecting fresh insights even from familiar truths. He encourages them to engage deeply with the rich content, to apply lessons immediately in practice, and to be bold in exercising their gifts. For those considering APC Bible College, he emphasizes that its value lies not merely in academic knowledge but in shaping character, building a strong biblical foundation, and equipping students for influence in both ministry and professional life. He concludes that APC Bible College provides the direction and grounding that today’s world urgently needs, producing leaders who serve God with wisdom and perseverance.
Avni Emmanuel completed her B.Th. with APC Bible College in April 2023. For her, the opportunity to join the College during the COVID-19-19 lockdown in 2020 was a long-awaited answer to prayer. What began as a step of faith quickly became a supernatural journey where she daily experienced God’s grace. She recalls the joy of learning in a vibrant classroom environment that brought together students as young as 18 and as old as 63—all hungry for the Word of God and zealous to seek its truth in the right context. These experiences not only enriched her academically but also deepened her understanding of God’s nature and His will for her life.
Avni testifies that theological training at APC Bible College has been instrumental in shaping her spiritual walk. She describes her life as being on the Potter’s wheel, where God continues to renew her mind daily through prayer, Scripture reading, and applying His Word in life’s challenges. While she admits that holding a degree has not automatically guaranteed victories, the discipline of biblical study has helped her consistently bounce back with hope, joy, and faith in even the most difficult circumstances. Knowing that Christ intercedes for her has been a source of strength, especially as she has stepped into her calling as a Bible teacher and encourager, serving both in her local church and in online ministry among women and young adults.
For Avni, courses at APC Bible College provided wisdom for different seasons of life. While she finds it difficult to single out just one, she highlights a recent experience that deeply impacted her. During a difficult period, she was unexpectedly given the opportunity to translate lectures on Believers’ Authority and Demonology at the Short Term Bible College 2025 held at APC Bible College. What seemed like a coincidence became a timely lesson from God, enabling her to understand her spiritual authority more deeply and apply it in real battles. In this way, she found the training at APC Bible College to be a continual source of strength and guidance long after graduation.
She also acknowledges that the journey was not without challenges. At one point, she faced one of the toughest seasons of her life immediately after graduation. Yet, the training she had received—to meditate on the Word, apply it practically, and rely on the Holy Spirit—gave her the resilience to press forward. Each trial became a testimony of God’s faithfulness, confirming that what she learned was not just information but preparation for real-world struggles.
Reflecting on her time at APC Bible College, Avni encourages current students to approach their studies with the goal of inflaming their love for God and His people, not simply acquiring knowledge. She advises them to test everything against Scripture, guard their hearts, and remain rooted in service within their local church. Her counsel is simple yet profound: let the Word you study transform you, not just inform you.
To those considering APC Bible College, she emphasizes that the College is not merely an academic institution but a place of transformation. Here, students grow in Christlikeness, discover their calling, and are established in God’s Word while being inspired by teachers who model humility, gentleness, and love. For Avni, APC Bible College was more than a degree program—it was a lifetime experience that continues to shape her life and ministry, equipping her to finish the race strong with God’s help.
These alumni stories remind us that the value of Bible College extends far beyond the classroom. Whether leading a church, balancing ministry with a global career, or persevering through personal trials, each graduate testifies that the Word of God, learned and lived out, remains their unshakable foundation. APC Bible College continues to be a place where students are prepared not just for ministry, but for life—equipping them to influence their world with wisdom, resilience, and Christlike love.
