About This Course

This course addresses the basics and important elements of Christian Counseling. It focuses on the application of concepts from a biblical and a clinical view of counseling, emphasizing practical knowledge, techniques, and skills. Special attention is drawn to the challenges of everyday living to build a biblical base for a counselling ministry.

The course gives an overview of Christian Counseling, involving core elements and basic principles of an effective helping ministry. Good relationship skills and techniques are important tools for dealing with people and their conflicts. A functional model of counseling helps the learner see how an individual's thoughts, emotions, and behavior interact. The course also covers counseling in special situations such as mental health challenges, grief, suicide, and abuse.

Course Evaluation & Grading

Students will be given graded assessments during the Semester. Each of these assessments will be in reference to all content covered till that point in the course.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I do some courses ON-CAMPUS, some ONLINE and some via E-LEARNING?
Yes. Regardless of the learning option you choose, once you enroll, you are considered a student at APC Bible College and receive the same certificate/degree. You have the flexibility to mix learning modes, but please enroll in a specific course in only one mode per semester.
Can I take courses in any order?
We strongly recommend following the sequence outlined by the college. However, at your discretion, you are welcome to take courses in any order. Ensure you complete all required courses for your specific program (C.Th., Dip.Th., or B.Th.) to receive your certificate.
Are requirements the same for all learning options?
The course content is the same. For ON-CAMPUS and ONLINE, you need 85% attendance + passing grade (35%). For E-LEARNING, you must watch all videos + obtain a passing grade. Assignments may differ based on the instructor's discretion.
