About This Course
This course addresses the basics and important elements of Christian Counseling. It focuses on the application of concepts from a biblical and a clinical view of counseling, emphasizing practical knowledge, techniques, and skills. Special attention is drawn to the challenges of everyday living to build a biblical base for a counselling ministry.
The course gives an overview of Christian Counseling, involving core elements and basic principles of an effective helping ministry. Good relationship skills and techniques are important tools for dealing with people and their conflicts. A functional model of counseling helps the learner see how an individual's thoughts, emotions, and behavior interact. The course also covers counseling in special situations such as mental health challenges, grief, suicide, and abuse.

Course Evaluation & Grading
Students will be given graded assessments during the Semester. Each of these assessments will be in reference to all content covered till that point in the course.
